Anti-Wrinkle Botox® Treatments in Cheltenham

What is Anti Wrinkle Treatment?

Botulinum Toxin A is injected in minute amounts into the muscles that cause dynamic lines. This injection temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause certain lines in the face and as a result of this these lines and wrinkles become reduced. The effects are not immediate and in general it will take about 4 days for you to see an effect.

What are the limitations

Botox® injections relax wrinkles. They cannot lift the face or fill hollows. In these instances dermal fillers or a mini facelift may be more suitable. Botox®  injections are always performed by our Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon, Rob Warr.

What is involved?

Following an independent consultation, you will be assessed and advised of the most suitable treatment for you. The treatment itself will take about 20 minutes and you will be able to return to normal activities afterwards. The smoothing effects of the first treatment typically lasts for up to 3-4 months. You will need to return for regular 3 monthly treatments during the first year as the optimum results are obtained if the next treatment is performed before the effects of the previous treatment has worn off. With repeated treatments the relaxed and softened effects will last longer.

Possible side effects

Side effects, if they occur, are usually temporary and mild to moderate. Usually side effects are typically linked to the injections e.g. pain on injection, redness and mild swelling.

At CYGNINI CLINIC we use Botox® by Allergen.

Is it safe in pregnancy?

It is not known if Botulinum toxin injections can harm your unborn baby

However, we will not perform this treatment on anyone who is pregnant or  breastfeeding

How much will it cost?

£10 per unit

In order to create value and transparency for our clients we’re introducing a new price structure – charging per unit of Botox, meaning that you’re only paying for the volume that is used in your bespoke treatment.   And remember, all our anti-ageing injections are performed by Mr Rob Warr, Consultant Plastic Surgeon.

As a helpful price guide, horizontal lines across the forehead tend to need 16-18 units, where as laughter lines to the side of eyes tend to need 24 total.

When you’re assessed Rob will advise how many units are recommended in your particular case.
